Welcome to The Fablewood Cottage
A Charlotte Mason-inspired Homeschool Curriculum
Building a way of life,
not just lesson plans.
Our mission here at Fablewood Cottage is to cultivate a slow, hearth-centered home education that forms wise, capable and rooted children through living books, shared family life, meaningful work, and faith.
Our Philosophy
This curriculum was created for natural minded families who believe education is not separate from home life, but born from it.
While inspired and rooted from Charlotte Mason’s principles of living books, narration, and short lessons, our approach extends beyond academics. We believe education should shape the whole household- from it’s rhythms, conversations, habits and works.
Learning here does not happen in isolation. It happens at the breakfast table, in the garden, over shared chores, through rich discussions, and in the quiet of handicrafts.
We value faith as a foundation, family culture over academic comparison, conversation over worksheet, depth over volume, and most importantly- slow and intentional days over rushing through a schedule. to cultivate wise,
Our aim is not to simply create well-educated children, but to build up wise, grounded and capable young adults who love truth, can steward their homes well, and can think clearly about the world around them.
Slow.
Rooted.
Whole-Family.
God-Centered.
Hands On.
Slow. Rooted. Whole-Family. God-Centered. Hands On.
How We Differ From The Rest?
Many Charlotte Mason curricula focuses primarily on booklists and subject scheduling. While we honor Mason’s philosophy, our work is structured around household culture rather than academic blocks and loops.
Where most Mason-inspired programs are mainly booklists, schedules subject rotations, loops, and purely focused on academic outcomes, we pride ourselves on not being like the rest. We are:
a household culture
a shared family life
a theology of home
a rhythm that shapes souls
Our framework is built on daily and weekly rhythms that shape the entire family, not just the student. This is simply not just a curriculum to complete, but a way of living and learning together as a family unit.
